We recently moved into one of our latest renovations after falling in love with the neighborhood and outdoor space. After living in our home for a little over a month, we’re finally ready to start sharing some of our finished spaces.
We had the chance to try Frame My Mirror‘s Decorative Mirrors in a few different rooms for this renovation and love the product as well as the end result. See for yourselves!
One of the areas we’re most excited to show off is our dining room. The flow to the kitchen and living room, with great views of the pool area, draw us and visitors alike to this space.
Right inside the back door is a long wall that leads to the kitchen. We decided to keep the original paneling and paint it white to retain some of the original character. We then brought in contrast by painting the fireplace black and updating the mantle.
The showpiece of this massive wall is the low-profile round mirror. It was an ideal size (30″) to create an anchor and focal point for the length of the wall. It’s centered within the wall and the cased opening to the living room (we love our symmetry around here!)
This particular mirror is offered in several finishes including nickel, gold, bronze and black. We chose the matte black to compliment the additional black elements in this room and to contrast with the white wall.
For the master bath, we went with the opposite approach. We started with a white canvas and then decided to add more drama with the black shiplap vanity surround. The rounded corner mirrors were the perfect choice for this space. We love how the gold compliments the accents in the vanity lights overhead.
Previously this space was a two car garage that we finished out to include a master suite with walk-in closet, laundry and mudroom.
In the hall bath, we were once again fortunate enough to have a good width of space to work with. We opted for the matte black rounded corner mirrors here to contrast the white shiplap. These mirrors can be hung horizontal or vertical and although we had the space to utilize, we decided to hang them vertical to leave additional room for more lighting. The original bathroom was really lacking in both natural and artificial light, but the additional lights created the feeling of a bright welcoming space.
The rooms hopefully speak for themselves, but should you need any more reasons to check out Frame My Mirror – all orders come with free shipping and were so easy, from order to installation. All the hardware you need to install is included in the packaging which isn’t always the case!
